Saturday, April 08, 2006 3 weeks in ocs finally over liao.. Really alot of things have happened during the past 3 weeks.. First few days in Delta wing i wasn't really quite happy.. The people there were like yearning for powers.. most of them wanted very much to lead the platoon.. quite sian.. Luckily my buddy very good.. he's a very nice guy.. we shared a lot of things in common and we always keep a look for each other... Training in Delta wasn't easy.. but we all enjoyed it.. Our instructors put in a lot of effort in shaping us and they will participate in whatever training we do.. Even our wing commander joined us.. I am really quite impressed by the way they devote themselves into their job.. Sometimes they may be harsh, but we all know that they cared for us.. Day by day we trained and im getting to like my platoon.. Our team spirit is building up and all of us are proud to be in delta.. Delta is not like any other wing.. We are very objective in the things we do..We don't do things the usual way.. Its like: you know 5bx in the morning ain't going to help you much in terms of building your fitness level, whats the point of doing it? yes.. Thats our mindset.. That's why we don't do 5 bx.. we do something more and something tougher.. Every morning we can see other wings doing their 5bx and then went for breakfast.. when they came back.. we are onli halfway done with our pt.. But none of us is complaining.. We feel proud.. This is Delta's Pride.. Last sunday halfway through trip flares lesson, i receive news from my instructor that i, along with a few others, will be posted to air wing.. I was shocked.. Its a fact that i wanted to go to the air wing.. But i like being in delta.. I really can't bear to leave.. Its like i can always go air force after my service term in delta, or even when i commissioned 30+ weeks later.. why the hell am i posted to airforce so soon... At that point of time i was really holding back my tears.. That night our instructors arrange to light up some trip flares as a form of farewell for us.. The scene was really beautiful.. The night was lighted up by a yellow flame and i could see each and everyone's faces.. I was really damn sad.. The following days we had to get our stuff and prepare to leave delta... we bid farewell to all of our instructors.. my friend cried.. i knew i couldn't take it anymore too... i cried... now you can see how proud we are in delta.. the amount of pride we have is like none other.. Yesterday in air wing before our endurance run, we were doing warm up at the basketball court.. I saw delta wing jogged past.. I could hear them sing and i could hear them cheer.. how i wish i was there with them.. This feeling is so sickening.. There's nothing i can do.. At least i was once part of Delta...
