Orchard of Hope

Yesterday went to do cip at orchard from 4 to 8pm. There are a lot of things for us to do actually but we end up doing fund-raising for the Sri Lankan kids who are affected by the tidal waves. We formed a group of six. Me, pony,wei guang,snake,W.C.,and itchy ang.(and that is all from 04s72). We are supposed to ask people to donate and if they donate more than 2 dollars, they can choose to get a balloon or write their wish for the SL kids on a card which will be pasted at the HQ. At first still find it quite boring. But after a while felt that it is very meaningful actually, to be able to do a part for the victims. Some people are very kind and the moment they saw the wordings on the donation bag which says ".....tidal waves..." they immediately took out money and donate. There was even one guy who donated 20 bucks(snake says the credit goes to her)..Other then that are those who just refuse to donate. Some claim that they have donated and some did not even bother to look at you. What pissed me off is that there were two girls, around the age of 20+, whom i did not approach walk by and said something which i think convey a sense of disregard for human lives.. they said "why should we donate? There are no tsunami in Singapore.." I really felt like punching them in the face... Ren Zha... Let's hope that the two asses is from the extreme minority. Hmmm... back to the fund raising thing... we gave out quite a number of balloons and towards the end WC took out chicken(on a stick one la...dunno what izzit called... the same one for the SA carnival) that she prepared for us to eat... very nice... really very nice.... then after some time we headed back to the HQ and counted the funds collected... Our group collected 75 dollars excluding the coins... think is quite a lot.... a sense of achievement....Finally we went to TSC and had dinner... spent 7 dollars for japanese food(wth.. dunno what am i doing)
